Well, if you'er on a budget and have ten cars or less the DX3S would make a nice choose. I haven't held the radio in my hand, so I can't give you the quality of it. But I can say the DX3R is smoother than my DX3.0, and much lighter. DX3R and DX3S only use four batteries, to the normal eight most radios use. The DX3R has a 5.5 refresh rate, DX3S has 11.1 refresh rate. That won't matter if your bashing, but it make all the difference in racing.

Great,
it is sound like the DX3R is much more a preminun product than the DX3S.
I believe the speed of the refresh is the great responsible for the price diference on it, don't you ?

We are preaty much involved in a races here in Brazil, so I belive DX3R will be the best choice. I don't think that telemetry is a good thing to have when you are racing, but in the other hand, a faster transmission is the key.

Actualy I've been using a 3PKS from Futaba and I'm so much happy with it. Do you know the speed of this radio ? Do you think it is faster then DX3R or has the same value ?

Thanks for the info.

Most of the experts I see use 3PK, M11 and DX3R radios. The 3PK family are nice transmitters, so I don't see why you'ed want to change. That radio should be fast enough. If you get the DX3S, you'll only be going the wrong way. Save your money and stick with what you have.

This is a mixed question. I believe any system that uses a pure 2.4ghz signal (no conversion Dx3r,Dx3s)will be faster than any system that has a piggback 2.4ghz system(what you are currently using). But,ask me; if you will be able to tell the difference I say No. If you want a reason to change radio's look at the feel of the radio not the speed.
