Default Futaba 3PKS with Spketrum Module problem

Hiyas

Ive got a 3PKS with the Spketrum 2.4 module in it, was all working great, got a Cat SX put another spketrum module in that and now i have reduced range, I've tried using both the modules in different cars with different ESC's, changed the batteries in the transmitter twice, I've checked all wiring is correct, I also took out the receiver and used a futaba Megatech 2PL in place of the spketrum modules and got better range with that.

I have noticed on the display screen of the 3PKS the numbers that show the voltage left (12.0) the .0 scrolls through the numbers 1 to 9 really fast.

The transmitter and receivers have only started doing this since i the volt .0 has been doing thefsat scroll through. Is there anyway that this is causing the reduced range? Any suggestions would be great.
