I hope they re release their Mini Cooper body. It was half the price of the Tamiya body, and had smoother lines. I spoke to HPI back in September as to why the Cooper body was discontinued. The conversation then steered toward this new chassis. I asked the gentleman why then would HPI discontinue the Cooper body when they are releasing a mini chassis of their own. Kinda stumped him on that one. From what we spoke about, any current body fitting the Tamiya chassis will fit their new chassis.

The shorter chassis has "channels" fornt and rear? Is there enough room to mount a bumper? The orignal CAD pix runs a standerd, plastic lib style bumper. But that longer chassis looks like theres enough room for a foam bumper up front for a bit more front end protection.
Is HPI going to discontinue their Mini lid? I guess that would seal the coffin on any chances of them bringing back their X patterns

I have a feelign we wont be seeing this car till well after the new year--we have only seen CAAD renders afterall.

Very cool drawings I guess we will have to wait and see what the final production model looks like. As for competinig with the Tamiya M chassis the final gear ratio will play a big part in that as well as weight. I am getting one for sure

Looks as if the axles have some sort of proprietary drive engagement. I donno how I feel 'bout that.
