I use that setup in pretty much every micro vehicle i have and it works fine.

MikeR,
Any chance you'd be coming up with a 6-cell inline chassis for the RC18B/T? I like how the Tek18X stretches the wheelbase and runs mono bellcrank, but I want my 18B to share batteries with my other minis, and I'm thinking there might be others out there like me.

Hi All,
I've actually gotten quite a few requests for this and have planned on doing something like this very soon. I just need to catch up on a few other pending projects (like an oval R18/R14) and then I can get on the redesign.
Stay tuned!
Best,
Mike

Mike,
That's great news. I knew I wasn't the only one. Also knew you'd be on top of things.
Since we're talking...
I'm running the 18B body and it's being held on by velcro (on the sides) because (1) my top plate is from an old 18T that doesn't have a body post, and (2) my rear tower is an 18T tower (which is needed to fit a Vendetta wing mount).
Because of this, I'm thinking velcro may be a popular mounting method at least for the 18B shell and (I think you know where I'm going with this by now), do you think its possible to have some sort of lip on the sides of your new design to stick velcro pads on to?
Thanks for reading. Merry Christmas!

+1 here! I'd be highly interested in a Tek18 chassis with this configuration. Already have my preferred battery set-ups for my RC18t, and the saddle-pack configuration is what's keeping me away from converting at this point...
Hey sim, how's it going? You know what I mean, with the TTG's and swapping batteries, haha.

Ya know it. I'm still pretty happy with my RC18B (despite the flex and wheelbase) but would definitely get Mike's conversion when it's out.
The 2WD TTG (GB-02) isn't as quick around the track but it's a keeper for being indestructible, maintenance-free, fast (for 2WD) and looking vintage

I just purchased my 2nd MXT chassis and I noticed that the front braces are beefed up compared to my 1st MXT and I can no longer use HS-85 servos. The instruction with the chassis says it can take up to HS85 servos, but the official Exotek MXT website description says it only takes up to HS65 but the picture below it says it can accept HS85. So is the MXT no longer supporting HS-85??? I need the HS85 support simply because HS65 are twice the price of HS81 locally.

I'd find somewhere else to buy your HiTech servos
