Hey there all you gurus.

My Pt the wire got frayed right beside the actuall Pt. is there anyway to open and resolder the the wire together.

If not I guess off to get cloned. hehe

It's a tough fix. If you have a little bit of wire to work with, you may be able to fix it. If you have to solder on the board, you're probably out of luck. Same problem here, so I sent mine in for a PTX clone. Actually, I got two. I like them better than the AMB.

As someone said above... just send it in to these guys and get a PT clone of it made up... so then you have something that CAN be fixed if it breaks, unlike the AMBrc expensive crap.

Send it to AMB. Your transponder has lifetime warranty. My buddy sent his in because of the same issue and they sent him back a new one.

According to AMB's web-site their transponders have a 2 year warranty. You can cut out a strip (as shown) in the back of the transponder and solder in new wires, use some shoe goo to seal it up
