Hi,
quick question, just wondering what brushless motor you guys run in pro12 modified on a medium sized tarmac track.
I've got a 7.5 from my touring car which i'm going to put into my 12th, just wondering if it'll be enough.
Cheers

All 3 of those are good choices and you can't go wrong with them. I've used the LRP QC2 and the Tekin FX in 1/12th stock. If you plan to go to a Spektrum system in the future I'd stay away from the LRP. Their BECs tend to be a tad too weak for the Spectrum recievers and many people have had problems with that. Also with my QC2 the metal contacts on the PC board where the wires solder in eventually delaminated from the board. With the QC3 built the same way I imagine that would happen on that one too. The Novak I believe has the smallest foot print but also the largest capacitor so overall the GTX and FX end up taking up about the same amount of space. I really like my Tekin FX but you have to get used to adjusting push or anti-drag on the ESC and not on the radio. Many people will bump up the throttle trim to adjust this but the FX will not let you do that. Also if you plan to go to BL before going to mod brushed then save yourself a bit of cash and get the regular FX not the Pro...unless you are running hot mods you'll have no need of the Pro.

The Robinson machined gears get down pretty small too.
Stormer has PRS 76's in stock:

And here's a 78T Robinson:

It's like that to Hawaii too...and they don't answer e-mails. They sure make great gears but don't seem to want customers.

I have a CRC T- Force chassis and don't wish to buy another car, just curious to see if I can fit a BL motor into it or do I need to buy another rear POD.
BTW, does anyone here run the diggity design chassis, the one with the battery down the center?
I appreciate your advise in advance.

Thanks for the information..
do you run on asphalt and carpet?
I run on asphalt and carpet.
CRC's new pod and hub are optimized for longer brushless motors and their attendant difference in weight distribution within the pod. They're for the Gen X, only. But brushless motors have been run for several years now in CRC and other 1/12th scale cars without any real problems.
That said, I'm hoping CRC will update the T-Fource soon, leaving the standard front end and simply tuning the pod/hub for brushless motors as they have the Gen X. Until then, though, I'm running it exactly as you see it.
