Default Acronyms

I'm thinking of changing my name to Crazy Mackem. These acronyms are driving me crazy. I'm sure I'm not the only one to not know what half of them mean.

Please explain.

Let me explain. An acronym is a word made up of initials. People use them all the time here.

How about a competition to see who can list the most with their full title beside them. Example SORMCC (Sydney On Road Model Car Club) I think.

dude, i know what an acronym is, what i couldnt find in ur first post was why the need for a name change, being that mad and crazy arent too different, but now i understand where ur coming from, i really think that acronyms should only be allowed to be used when they form a word that is pronouncable, unlike CHRCORCC (Castle Hill Radio Control Off Road Car Club).

You could pronounce CHRCORCC as CHuR-CORCC but I usually just say it as Castle Hill!

Maitland is easy though MORCC.

What is Castle Hill an acronym for? Some food for thought perhaps. Still no takes with an acronym buster. Perhaps I will have to do the leg work myself.

Well done. I suppose the question marks mean that they are educated guesses. I just spent 2 minutes looking for some more. Here we go.

QRCCRA - Queensland Radio Circuit Car Racing association
SORMCC - Sydney On Road Model Car Club
BRCC - Brisbane Radio Control Car Club?
ACTRCCC - Australian Capital Territory Radio Control Car Club

Some others I'm not sure of

BRCA
IMCC
NSWRCRCC
SRCORCC
GCRCCC

Acronyms send me up the wall at work but this sport is getting worse!
