Tamiya mini cooper
#7067
Has anyone tried running 4 cells on the Tamiya cooper M03?
I just got my Mini Cooper and am trying to figure out what brushless to get with a 4 cell (I am carrying it over from my 1/12 scale).
Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Sick of those 'Lipo Blues'? That feeling you get when your Mini keeps tipping over or spinning out with your brand new Lipos fitted? Plus you just don't know where to put the weight to bring your car up to the minimum weight your track requires?
Click here to find out how/where to to do a 30 minute makeover on your mini to add a little poundage and take a whole lotta worries off your mind.
Another good artical by the mini guys

BTW What escs do guys use? I have a junk tamiya one and its slower than other escs

Thanks for the compliment!
I also believe that the weight of the chassis is alot lighter then it's Tamiya or HPI counterparts.. will be posting it's weight after i've found my weighing scale!
Will also be posting pictures after I get it painted(Red with white top)

hey guys i have recently converted my mini to mo3m knuckle rether than my old mo3 knuckle, which i think mo3m its stronger??
well than i notice the king pins its different, can any kind soul provide me the part number for mo3m king pins....
will try out the xpress foam tyre for mini this weekend, stay tune...
also, is there different in handling of the m03, m03m or m03L? cos my local trak racers say that my m03 its the hardest to handle of all..

I picked up a set of aluminium steering knuckles since my kids
strip out the plastic ones. What I find out though is that the aluminium
ones don't fit the mo3m. Is there any way to get these to work with the
mo3m or am I going to have to machine them down

I'd just buy a replacement set of plastic ones (51238) as they are pretty damn strong and it's rare to destroy them.
Maybe sell off the others to someone else...

...or you could buy the parts tree that has the front uprights on it: B parts #50736 and the front kingpins, which are 4 X 11.5 mm step screws- kinda the same as the old FF01-TA01/2 kingpins. Might be easier to just find the ones from the 03R that fit what you've got, but you'll also need the bushings and screws that mate up with the M uprights, as I'm not sure that the TA04 style kingpins will fit the alloy carriers.
BTW, some people think the older front end is easier to drive.
