Default spectrum and lipos??

I think I read somewhere that if I use my spectrum pro reciever I dont need a regulator when I use my 1300mah lipo in my nitro tourer is that true do the spectrum rx have a built in regulator??

The Spektrum receiver can take the higher voltage no problem, it's the servo that you need to worry about, as it'll also be taking the full 7.4V instead of its normal 6V..

Solution: find a 7.2V FET KO Propo servo.. crazy fast..

I just pulled it out of the car and you are right I tested the voltage and its 8.2 something coming thru and full charge and 5.8 with the regulator, the servos cant take 8.2??so the regulator is definately needed here.
