I asked this question a few pages back but I think it got a bit lost...
what effect does using more spacers under the rear camber links have? I understand what effect changing the angle has on roll centre but many of the setups I've seen use around 3mm under both sides of the link & don't understand what this does when compared to the kits .5mm under each side

Or to be a bit more scientific...It does alter the roll centre and camber characterisrtics. On the 415, adding 1mm under the inner link lowered the RC by about ~0.6mm, whereas adding 1mm under the outer link lowered it by ~0.8mm. Effectively, the outer adjustment is coarser than the inner. I haven't measured the same on the 416 yet, but it is not hugely different to the 415 in terms of geometry, so they will probably similar there.
Also moving the links up will alter how the camber changes through the suspension being compressed. Haven't figured that one out in my head yet (although my guess is it helps reduce the amount of change).

David Spashett originally gave me the idea to try this on the 415 (raise the rear link up). He said that it helped to smooth out the rear of the car, and make it less snappy, which was useful for carpet. You know what, he was right....

the Hupo H reedy race setup is pretty good for those conditions though I went to XA/E at the rear

just back from the ETS Race from Andernach. I am so happy got to the Stock A-Main. The car was awesome to drive. Unfortunalety I have realized it too late, that laying dampers on the rear would be the right thing.
Marc was using a new motormount plate, which was reinforced (bending with a 3.5T motor is a possible problem). The setups of all 416 were neraly the same (also Mod or Stock). Here you can see my setup:

The "Topdeckwithoutscrew" modification was very nice to drive (especially when the track had no grip). Nearly everyone used it. Some drivers (me too) have cut the steering post a little bit down, to avoid touching the topdeck.

syndrome... with my experience.. you'll need at least the following:
Qty - block
2 - 1A
2 - 1B
2 - 1C
2 - 1D
1 - 1XA
1 - 1XB
1 - 1E
looks like they have a "1F" for those that want to widen the stance using the evoV short arms. ive always used the "1A" up front as a bridge.. with 1D. some setups ive seen now have 1B/1B up front.. or 1C/1C.
ive used a very narrow set up too using the 1XD.. but that was on asphalt.

question.. why are you guys lying the rear shocks down so far? and what effect does it have on entry/mid/exit steering? id like to try it out next im at the track and see what happens. (also try the raising the rear camber links next time im out).
