Ofna clutch help.............
Guys, I have an older Team Associated RC250 and i bought an O.S. .21 VG to run in it. I also bought an Ofna flywheel and these http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXHWJ3&P=SM clutch shoes as well as an Ofna clutch bell. Where do the little washers go?... Do you put one on the flywheel pin, under the shoe and one on top of the shoe? (under the bell)???..........Also, the cluth bell/bearing sticks out a bit longer than the SG shaft.....how do i place the flanged spacers to get a little clearance so the bell can float slightly??...........I run Serpent 1/8 with Centax clutches but can't figure these off-road clutches out?........

just one under each shoe...
shaft should be sticking out that much, if at all...
are you positive everything is installed correctly?

Also, look at the washers very carefully. One side has a slight bevel to it. Make sure that side goes up against the shoe. This allows the shoe to move more freely. And, if you don't put the washers on, you'll have a very difficult time trying to get those off. They will groove the flywheel pretty good.

You have the clutch correct. Put the screw through the silver pieces with the flange on them. The shorter one should be long enough to make up the space on the shaft. If the bell has to much play use the shims to take some out.

You don't need to use all the shims that come in the kit. If you do, something just isn't right. You should only need maybe one behind the back bearing possibly two. Any more than that is no bueno!

the reason that the crank isnt coming out far enough is because you need the right flywheel collet for your flywheel. hope this helps. Brandon.M

Dang, beat me to that one. You should have a copper THIN collet for that flywheel. That will bring the shaft out further so you won't need as many shims.
