Yes, it should have more chassis flex which will help outdoors

Will be interesting to see how it performs indoors on carpet too... On rubber tyres it should be ok, although it probably wont feel as responsive on foams or high grip situations.

My 3racing v1 chassis weighs about 40 grams less than the sstock TA05 chassis. Hope this information helped.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the V3 of the chassis?

I m thinking about getting this just so I could fit my electronics into this. The stock TA05 chassis is way too squashy.

Have they made it thinner and more flexible for the V3? How's the quality of these chassis? Are they well made and stuff?

I have the v3 on my 05 ifsr, one comment though that it tweaks easily. I don't know but I think you have to use an aluminum bulkhead to make sure everything is flat or flush . Currently I'm still running stock BH.
Penguin makes chassis for TA05 too.

I am using the V2 of the 3Racing TA05 IFS chassis. Have always had the problem of the bellcrank turnbuckle hitting the top deck when turning left.

Would like to know if there is a need to switch to aluminium tamiya/3racing bellcranks to fix this problem. Also if I will need to switch servo savers.

I'm looking at the v3 chassis to refresh my stock TA05R soon - my main thoughts are it would allow me to flip the belts to get the esc in tight, and hang the lipo out to balance the car?

Apart from fiddly spur access (any links to that top deck mod?), is diff access any worse than stock? Also looking at the alloy bulkheads to go with the chassis.

I did the Tamiya Alloy bulkheads and all the hop ups to a TA05R I had last year. Its not really worth it, It will be nice, but you can buy a used 415 or 416 and be better off. I ended up with a 500 sum dollar ta05, then I bought a used trf416 for less than half that. Just rock the ta05 the way it is, its a good car. Save your money towards a better car. Just my opinion.
