Default Is the LRP Pulsar Comp 3 worth it ?

I find myself in the market for a new charger and seem to have narrowed my chioce to either the IntelliPeak ICE or the LRP Pulsar Comp 3. I can't seem to get past the $40 to $50 price gap between these two similarly featured chargers .... is the LRP worth it ?

Both chargers are fine. I use to have both, i bougth an ICE first, than i sold it and buy the Pulsar later, now i'm with a Integy Indi Dyno 16X512.
The ICE have some more fine adjustments than the LRP Pulsar 3. But the Pulsar is easier to use, and achieve at least the same results than the ICE, and even better most times. In the overall, i like more the Pulsar.

Depends if you are strictly lipo/brushless get a hyperion or cheap lipo charger that can handle something like 5-6 amps.

I use 2 pulsar 3's and they are simple and sweet. Great charger.

+1 for the Pulsar. I had an ICE, I didn't like the wheel a whole lot. Other then that, it was pretty good at charging everything. I prefer the Pulsar now.

I have 2 Pulsar 3's and a TC 1030. I prefer the pulsar 3 when charging because it is simple and easy to configure. I use the 1030 to discharge at 30A. But I also use it if I need more info on the pack if needed. The only gripe I have with the pulsar 3 is there are only 3 memory settings.

I would caution you in using your TC 1030 for discharging... a while back there was quite a long thread about it having issues and breaking down when used in the discharging mode. The issue only involved discharging and it worked fine for everything else. Never hurts to get a little heads up to avoid any problems down the road...
