Do all of the kits have the "Team Losi" shock, or is there another shock option?

Costs a bit more but its worth every cent, especially if you also have a 1/12th (->works as good as the "coin" trick)

Just posted this on the pan10 & GT10 thread and just trying to see if anyone in Los Angeles is considering this class.

Well things are starting to look bleak in me getting a 1/10 pan. Went to two tracks this morning and no one is running a pan class. Went to bending corners, all touring but was advised if 4 or more peeps had them, they would open it up. I than went to Crystal Park and all nitros. Now James who runs the track says it's ok to run electric but really there is no competition for electirc since it's all nitro, this would only be bashing on Saturday's on practice days. At this point I have two choices, get a electric touring car or a 1/8th Mugen. Was hoping to save money by going with the pan car plus looks easier to set up. Anyone in the Los Angeles area that is considering any of the pan cars that just came out? I really would like the CRC and might still get it and just bash at Crystal Park. Anyways hit me up as I am at least still a month away from considering getting the crc kit.

Anybody else find the turnbuckles to be too short?
I'm running a Hitec 5245, LiPo, medium width, Kimbrough medium, and first hole on the steering arm. I need to have the servo a bit forward to accommodate the LiPo's, so the threads barely engage the plastic. Tried running the balls on the servo side of the servo saver, but then the tierods interfere with the blocks. Went and got a set of AE tierods today that were a bit longer. Seems to be a better fit and will allow me to widen the front if I want to.

Ok, picked up a used GTS, what do you recommend for motor for 27t? Also will need some guideance in picking up some rim/tire setup for this track here where I will be practicing on Saturday's until this class picks up in Los Anglees.

Also maybe a gear setup as well, really new to this but do have some experience with emaxx and rustler and taking them apart but not no expert by far. Thanks for any assistance.

If you are going to be racing in your area, check the rules that the local guys are using. It will give you a good starting point. Also your budget and skill should come into play.
Where I race, we allow 10.5, 19T, Nimh (6 cell), and Lipo (7.4V) to be used. So for my selection was easy. Novak GTB. It works with Brushless and Brushed motors. The package I bought was a bundled deal, and came with the SS10.5 motor.
If you are just starting out in racing, then you may wish to start with a used Brushed ESC (novak GTS, or even the Duratrax 20T). It will easily allow you to run a stock 27T motor which is plenty fast. My car with a 10.5, can flip itself over backwards. (i have already done it acouple of times)
For gearing of the CRC, use 88T 64P, or try a 65-68T 48P. Because the car still uses the 1/12 rear pod there is not alot of room to put pinions on when using a larger diameter spur.
