Default Novak vs LRP

Just trying to decide on what motor and speedy to use in my buggy. Am looking at either the GTB/Velociti 6.5 or 7.5 and the lrp/vector 6.5 or 7.5. Not sure on how they perform, also have heard alot of bad things about gtb but not any about lrp....??
cheerss,
alex

What car will it be running in?

I run both types of speedy and motor, and honestly, pick a colour you like and buy that one. They're equally as good as the other (at my club level at least.) Run the LRP more just cause.....I don't know, I like blue I guess? Have the 7.5, 6.5 and 5.5 X11's. Just put the 5.5 in my xxx4 with new lipo's and it was wayyy too much. I'll be putting the 6.5 back in. Had the 7.5 in when the track was slippery and that really helped. Was nice in the 2wd aswell.

I don't think you could go wrong with either of the two. Both good choices.

I had an 07 Spec blow up, but replaced under warranty no questions asked. Anyway like you say, no threads about LRP's regularly blowing up

Dyno results between GTB and LRP Sphere, the LRP consistently yields more RPM and Watts. Also the LRP, to me, seems more intuitive to program. I've had an LRP go bad...but it was the Novak 10.5 that fried and took the Speedo with it.

I use 3 lrp sphere 07's had a issue with one that was my fault and lrp replaced it no problem no questions asked. I love them so much i have three.

I also use peak/orion 7.5 10.5 and novak 7.5l and i think i like the novak motors better. More power and less noisey. Lrp motors have bonded rotors and tend to run really hot.

I would go lrp/novak combo if i were u.

Or just put the sintered rotors in the LRP's. Bonded rotors are still a usefull tuning tool, when geared correctly they don't overheat and can help on slippery tracks.

Where can I see these results?

Correct, they just suddenly stop working... (5 cases I know of thusfar). My LHS says they're getting a lot of bad LRPs atm.

I was using both a GTB and Sphere TC Spec and loved both of them.I recently decided to race in only one electric class so I decided to keep the LRP and I sold the GTB.I do like the fact that the GTB has a removable fan without clipping any wires but the Sphere could be mounted in any direction as it programs from the top so you don't have to have one side easy to access to program it.Both are great if you get a good one in my opinion.
