I've prepped up three sets of dampers.....
1: 2 hole piston/ 45WT oil........ Rear
2: 3 hole piston/ 45WT oil........ Front
3: 2 hole piston/ 45WT oil........ Front
I like the idea of the three hole pistons, found on the stock shocks, just wish I had another set of rear shocks but, can't have everything...lol.
Looking at using the stock springs and the orange springs to test with.
I also have some much stiffer springs (around 20LB !?) to try too.
I have my doubts if they'll be usable at all.

Anthony (Tony) from Davenport, Iowa.
Buggies very cool. Very technical, goes together well. It ends up being somewhat front heavy which would explain some of there oversteer prob's guys have been having with the car.
I've chosen the route of making the car as light as possible all round, then adding weight to the rear to get a more even weight balance.
Thanks for getting those parts out to me. They should come in real handy. All I got to do on mine now is to mount the electronics and motor. I got a new GO Tech 5 port Turbo to put in mine. With a choice of either a Dynamite 086 or 053 pipe.
I have the Team Cobra rear wing, tires and wheels too.
It really is a nice kit.

The "front, rear, lower hinge pin plate" to get the anti-squat to 0Degrees.....ok. Thanks Lowey! Will look at getting another plate.
Now. On the subject of shock set-up.
The stock dampers come with three hole pistons but I've noticed the new LX dampers come with 2 hole pistons?............ I guess K Factory must have heard that drivers were running stiffer dampers then stock?
What set-up were you running Lowey?

The current shock set-up i'm using on my Turbo is:
Rear: 3 hole pistons, 550cst (much more) oil and purple TM springs
Front: 2 hole pistons , 550cst (much more) oil and purple TM springs
Must say tho, I can't wait till the M8 arrives. It's an awesome looking machine!

Hi Dan,
Yes, I got the Orange spring set just last week thanks.
The M8 looks intriguing. I think the M1B TURBO has alot more potential then has been realized so far. I do think the M8 will be a great addition to the offroad Team Magic program though and is sure to be an eye opening once again to the offroad world.
I will be interested to see what parts are going to be transferable to the M1 from the M8. All I know for sure is that the tank is??
I will possibly have to get another set of the orange springs from you soon, we'll see.

Hey MENACE I bought an M1TURBO about a month ago and love the car
been reading through the forum to get tips on setup -- my M8 will be here tuesday -- the only reason i went and got one of those is because the price to get the LX shocks & towers was half the price of getting a whole new buggy -- the guy told me that the cars are basically the same but the M8 has the KFACTORY braces & stuff like that updated -- I have a LOSI and as soon as i opened the box to the M1B I knew that it was a real race car & not a toy -- very impressed with it -- just needs to be dialed in -- i will post pics when i get it tuesday -- ct

I'm running on a grass/dirt track that is very blown out and inconsistant.... Very hard to drive fast.... here's some picks

After a lot of web searching, i've found that the major differences between the Turbo and the M8 are Shocks, towers, rear upper links, front c-hubs, rear stiffener, and centre drive shafts (dogbone type),
There are other subtle differences but most of the parts are interchangable.
Team magic claim that the M8 will be cheaper than the turbo, but they have cut costs with cheaper parts like dogbones instead of CVD's in the centre
Pics can be found here

Ok thanks Lowey.
Maybe in time, we'll be able to pick up the new M8 rear, upper links to fit on the TURBO?
Been so busy as of late. I haven't even had a chance to finnish off the build of my M1B. Also, trying to incorporate improvements as I build, slows things down
But enjoying the build. Really is a nice kit!!
What doesn't help is that my car, the big one....lol, hasn't quite made it to the trade-in date target I had??!!
So I'm having to sink alot of time and money into that, as I need it to get to work.
There's always something isn't there.
I'm looking foreword to the first days testing!! Hopefully, if I get the suspension done on the big car, that will be this Sunday......by Birthday!
21 again

Well another successful day's racing and the Turbo won 3 from 4 race starts...
i've pretty much got the thing dialled now and while it is still a little tail happy, i'm actually finding it very manageable....
I ordered my M8 this week so that will be the next evolution and the turbo will be broken up for spares....
My Turbo set-up is as follows
Front
Diff 7000
2 hole pistons
55 wt oil
middle tower hole
inner arm hole
-2° camber
1° toe-out
Centre
Diff 5000
Rear
Diff 7000
3 hole pistons
55 wt oil
middle tower hole
outer arm hole
1° anti-squat
-3° camber
3° toe-in

Good luck with the M8. I hope it is a step foreword!
I'm getting that front /rear hinge pin plate to use at the rear of the car as you suggested to take away the anti-squat.
I've also lengthened the wheelbase by 5mm at the rear.
This makes the New LX shocks line up better. Infact everything allround at the rear lines up better now.
All I need to do now is break in the motor and run the car, if the weather ever allows me to do that???!
Lol
Congrats again Lowey!!
