Default Why so low mAh

Hi guys and gals recently got myself a Team Orion advantage charger with lipo charging capabilities and how to check the peak mAh for batteries with this charger cos while charging my brand new LRP 5 cells 1400mAh battery it shows 700 plus mAh after one cycle (discharged and charged ) another question I would like to ask is about the internal resistance of a battery is it higher the better or lower the better.

it takes a few chrges to get the full capacity of batteries through. 5 i think... as for internal resistance, lower is better.

I don't know your charger, but a lot of chargers have a 'capacity' setting on them.Go thru your menu and make sure the charge capacity is set at 100%,or better yet 110%.It is possible that it is only at 50% now and that is why you are getting only 700 mah. Also,as joe of loath said,it may take a few charges, but i would imagine that they would be taking more than 700 mah even if they are new.
