Default Diff Problem

Hi,

just before XMAS I changed my front diff for a spool in my losi XXXS tourer. I have since taken it for a run and now the car doesnt accelerate well.
I can hear the motor spinning up but I am not getting anything like the acceleration. At first I thought my pinion was lose but that is not the case. The
belt does feel a little loser so I have used the tensioner but to no improvement.

I was wondering if the belt was loose on the diff pulley but I would of thought I would of heard it skipping teeth if that was the case?

In addition to changing to spool I also changed by spur over which is 64 dp not 48. However, I am using the equivalant gearing I was when I was on
48dp.

Any suggestions would be welcomed....

Ta
Dan

Sounds like your rear diff is slipping.

Are you running brushless? I've seen brushless motors have the magnets come loose on the shaft and the make noise but they don't move much.

That or I would say rear diff also. Hold the spur gear and put one end of the car on the ground and try to drag it, it the tires won't turn the diff is ok. If the tires do tun look and see what's moving and what's not. Could be the slipper, diffs, or mabey the pinion gear is turning on the motor shaft?

i've adjusted the diff and will give that a try. the pinion and spur seem ok. one thing i have noticed is the belt now i have fitted the spur seems to be right up against the belt tensioner. i'm worried it could rub on it?
