Default WOT MISHAPS WITH 2.4gh

Here you will find my interesting story which I cannot explain.

Practiced-no issues
Change reciever pack(freshly charged) and cannot start first heat because of throttle servo issues. The car would have 5 second lapses of throttle response but would retain steering response. Did a process of elimination check which was interupted by throttle servo eventually holding itself in one position(idle). I tried another servo and all was well. Installed the servo went out for the second heat. Within 2 laps the car stuck WOT down backstrait, launched into the pits, nearly knocked my fueler/girlfriends teeth out(but cleared her by a foot or more, and cleaned out some poor non deserving persons pit. I could steer the car the entire way. About the time it landed it went back to idle. The failsafe position has been set correctly.

Does anyone have knowledge of what would cause such issues?
