I had suggested bone completely stock for the stock class(es) including the radio (hell...it comes with the kit...I ran it at the Short Track Nats as did, I think, Mike. That's first and second place right there). I would be amenable to that standard or, certainly, the more liberal rules Bob came up with.

For mod (and even stock) I'd REALLY like to see LiPo embraced. The 1500 (1550?) MaxAmps LiPo works GREAT in the Slider and is nowhere NEAR the pita to maintain the 2/3-A cells are.

For mod class(es) I think you could get more participation allowing other esc/motor combos BUT can certainly appreciate that if the only way Tekin would be involved that it would require their stuff. Kind of a dual-edged sword, but I do think you sacrifice general participation with the one mfr requirement.

For Mod the foam tires are mandatory. The stock rubber tires expand hillariously with, say, my Mini-Rage / 8.0 combo.

I'm sure I can think of more stuff, but really Bob did a GREAT job putting the rules together for the first iteration. I don't think wholesale changes are necessary--maybe just a little tweaking here and there.
