If these guys were running other fuels, they would still run fast! That doesn't mean that Werks is the best.

Best race fuels on the Market for On-Road Racing bar NONE:

Rocket Science, Werks, and Tornado; all three are very good fuels.

Next group:

Losi (New), Maxy's

Others:

Byron's, Mugen; These are best to break-in motors and then use the top group to race.

IMO, never use the top three fuels to break-in motors because of the quality under racing conditions. You will need more than a gallon to begin noticing the motor breaking in properly. If you run 8 to 10 tanks for break-in process and start leaning the engine for race setting, you will hurt the motors. The lubrications of the top three fuels don't allow the motors break-in quickly.

The three fuels you listed are great fuels, but you should include Byron in that list and when Byrons new RACE GEN2 fuel comes out, you may end up changing your mind which is the "BEST".
Byron Fuels says the new RACE GEN2 will set a new standard in RC car fuel.

The Losi fuel is just a good fuel ,its nothing to brag about.

I'm also waiting for the new Byron's race fuel (Pro-Driver) to hit the shelves should be out by early spring or sooner.

I shot an email to Byrons after talking to Paul (chicky) Cicurrillo around September of this year and they said they have no plan release date for the fuel. The only guys running it were the sponsored team guys.

If the Byron's race fuel is as you say, then they can be consider with the top three. But until then, the current fuel is break-in fuel to me. You can run under race tunes (temps 240-260), but the life of your motor goes down quickly compared to those top three.

You say, "Byron Fuels says the new RACE GEN2 will set a new standard in RC car fuel." Look who you are getting that from! They are promoting and marketing with the best of them. Until that fuel is raced by racers and it performs at a high level, their words are all talk!

I run 25% OD's. I tried Tornado fuel but it made my engine run quite hot so I switched back. On a slightly more mundane note I prefer the smell of OD's aswell.
