no...the only time I have had to glue up sidewalls is at National events, using paragon...when very small tires still want to flip over...

Anyone have any good starting set up advice for the pending NWIC #2? The track's going to be pretty green.

I wouldnt change my chassis setup much because the grip will most likely come up fast...a little larger tire is what I would start with...

for example, if you are running CRC pro-cuts or Prisms...a full size 1.90" rear and 1.80" front should be good wile the track is green...

Oh really....

I almost wish there was no team points...it always turns into drama.

So, I have my Gen X set up to where it feels good, but I'm 0.3 seconds/lap off the pace of Dave Erlich. I am running a BL system so I'm a bit heavy. I'm not able to hold as much speed in the turns as I would like. Any simple advice? I have a feeling the weight of the BL system is the problem. If I make the car any looser I may gain some time in the turns, but the car will feel twitchy on the strait.

No. Last wednesday my fastest lap time was 0.3s slower than Dave's fastest.

BTW: What's your rollout on brushed? I'm thinking of running brushed this week to get ready for TZII

The track was incredible and the gen-x handled extremely well and looked to carry more corner speed than all others. Brian's slappy was also very strong and unlike my crc so was its driver.

My car was pretty decent despite my driving efforts. I was surprised it stayed consistent through almost all of the run, I even ran some of my faster laps toward the end. My only issues were brought on upon myself...tire choice error in a heat, not tightening thing down, and then some breakage due to my driving. The Rev5 is proving to be a fast car and pretty easy to tune, I really wish I had more time to get practice in on the same track because it's fun to drive..it carries a lot of corner speed and I'm realizing it's not that heavy after all.

The BSR tires seem alright, I had some peeling issues off of one some one runs but they seem to stay real consistent and easy to tune with. I think I still may like Jaco's better though, next NWIC race will tell more..

I would look into the 12th scale forum for more information on this. 1/12 cars don't handle as well with BL systems and it makes tuning a little different, somewhat harder. From what I recall talking to Bruce about it is a by product of how 1/12 cars evolved around brushed motors that generate a higher gyroscopic effect. You're taking that gyro effect away with your BL system which is going to make the car react and handle different. Cars become unstable and twitchier easier making them have a harder time staying stuck.

I don't know what you'd do to tune for this or what changes to make but Josh Cyrul's new car somehow was built with BL in mind - not just by making a bigger pod. Tuning for BL is just another evolution in 12 scale..

being prison raped on the straight messing up your gearing spacing didn't help.
