Another great event put on by the coffs club a big thank you to dan and his people for a great weekend.
The return of Tom Leahy to racing was great to see and come in a close second to Adam.
It was also good to see two old fellows go hard at it lap after lap and round after round in 540 nice driving from Aussie Bob and Catweasle.
The Tassie drivers went well for their first time at the track.
Keep your eye out for a video clip of the 4600 mamba max chewing through a set of rubbers, great to watch the smoke show.

Sounds like you all had fun, I wish I could have made it! Work commitments prevented me turning up.
I would like to send a congrats to Adam and Aussie Bob for their wins in Stock and 540 respectively, and for upping the lap times at the circuit.
Well done guys.
I look forward to checking out the track in the near future!

Ito enjoyed the weekend totally, I will get all the results posted here fairly soon. Once again thanks to all the drivers who made the journey and for the great racing. You guys sure have have given us some hard records to try and beat.
I found a small thing that may have given my stock car some dramas, when I removed the front wheel and hex drive a bearing came out in several pieces. Hmmm now that could cause an issue, I guess I will have to get some maintenance done to avoid issues like this. Also forgot to mention at the meet Thanks to Tony Porter and Russell Mallise for the Tansponders over the weekend.
Cheers Dan

I think you should donate that motor of yours to BACA, I am sure we could get good money for it and it will keep things fairer for next year

P.S It was Tom not Troy.
Cheers Dan

Would like to thank all the guys in 540 for the racing. In an early heat i was on the limit of 540 with Harris cells and a AUSSIE BOB tuned 540, everyone got out of the way when they were lapped, nice to see without even asking yet alone yelling. The record was 22 laps which i had from last year. Yep, i did a 23 lap in 5 min and 6 sec, going back to post 50 and 52, $100 is mine. I then did 23 laps 2 or 3 times down to 23 laps in 5 min ans 3sec. I messed up the first final and got a 3rd, in the second i won it with a 23 lapper, unfortunately in the 3 leg of the final, I took off, got (radio) interferece and was hammered from the back putting me to 5th, but the compuotr DID not count me as i went past, (12 inches in 17 sec) did not jump, on video, but the computor said i was second in the end so i took the second place, but i would like to say "If a person ever says to me again they know they were beaten but the computor said NO " i will tread on their toes. Anyway, congrats to Steve for taking the 1st place trohpy back to QLD, but bring on next year. No computor glitches next time.
also, good to see all the guys from last year and a few new faces.
AUSSIE BOB
PS, Danny and Tony, read posts 50 and 52, thanks, take it off the BL system

You to can have a screamer of a motor. I ran an Axiom motor based on a CO27 spec. I played around with it as well, and managed to get a few thousand more revs out of it. I will be running another one next year

Thanks to the coffs club for a very enjoyable and relaxing meet. I had a ball, would have to be one of the best tracks i have have raced on. Was very happy with my result after banging and crashing and finally blowing the cobb webs out after a 10 month break. To finally pull it together and run up front. Congradulations to Adam for the win and a lap and track record.

Hi Bob I did mention that all the scoring from the time we used the Gold Coasts computer was actuall reading a lap extra than it should have. On our system when you cross the line at the start it reads that lap as zero, however the Gold Coast have there preference for it to count as one lap when you have really only travelled a couple of feet. I dont want to sound like I'm not willing to pay up it just wasn't really a 23 lapper it was a 22. Adam came closest to the money with an actual 25 laps in 5 minutes and 3 secs, it actually read 26 laps in 5min and 3 secs. Hope this clears it up.

Danny, no probs, but mine X 2 was under the old system on Saturday (second heat) then nearly every race on the Sunday. I think 2 races after mine on Saturday Russell did his class and we were going to share it. Does not matter, i enjoyed myself anyway and again, thanks for the weekend, it HAS to go again next year when i hope i will only travel 30 Ks to the place.

Hi Bob Going by the results I have here the best time time on the old system was by you in round 3 with 22 laps in 5min 6.25 sec, still damn impressive for 540. Once i have the old system going i will retrieve the the results if possible. I have the hard copies and can fax em to you if you give me a fax number.
