thanks for the reply its going in my tnx and the only way i can access the engine is thru rotostart. i found some tips in savage central and found that there is no rotostart package for the sirio, but i can build up one from parts: hpi .21/.25 rotostart case, gear set backplate unit (for the larger 8mm id 1-way bearing), and towerhobbies st15 1-way bearing and hex ive read that this will work fine, hope it does for me cant wait to fire up this baby, my tnx's first italian motor

Who is the new Sirio distributer for the US market since Kyosho USA is no longer doing it??? Kyosho USA doesn't seem to have any more Sirio EVO III parts in stock either as from what I've been told from the local hobby shops in my area that carry Kyosho products.

I spoke with Kyosho less than two weeks ago and they said they are continuing to carry Sirio. I am planning on talking to them tomorrow and I will get an update

Thanks Scott... I was also told that the current stock of Sirio stuff is very little and even the Team drivers are having a hard time getting Sirio parts from what's left of the current stock which is very little. They said what's in stock is the CRF motor... Looking forward to the update.

My last sirio order was about 3 weeks ago so not ultra current, but they had everything. Although I did get a cylinder head for my STI only about 5 days ago.

Thanks Scott... A hobby shop in the OC ie Orange county said they called and Kyosho had nothing as far as Sirio parts... Hey... It's business or lost business... I'm looking at picking up a piston and sleeve in about 3 weeks... I may have to go with the RB Matrix version of the Sirio EVO III if no luck at the hobby shops... Thanks again...

I didn't ask about specific parts, but Kyosho just got a shipment of Sirio in and there is another shipment in customs right now. They are continuing to carry and sell Sirio but they have to get it from Italy and sometimes there are hiccups with that.

You're running a Sirio now? I didn't realize that. If you don't mind me asking, what are your clutch settings?

I just yesterday signed a contract to race the IDM engines but I was running sirio before that. My clutch (via Marc Cruz) for the STI engine was:

2D clutch but use 4 flyweights. No drilled out weights.
Red shoe
Black spring
It is a complete stock 2D clutch but using 4 flyweights. All the rest of the clutch is normal 2D.

Compress the spring down 1.3mm past the end of the crankshaft. Very little gap. Maybe .3mm gap. Endplay almost none. Essentially for endplay make sure that your thrust bearing is free, but with almost no play.
