imho any 28 is toooo much power for a reeevo any decent 21 is plenty of power. see too many people overpowering these trucks and cant handle a decent 21 muchless a 28

Any motor can beat any other motor at any given time....there are far too many factors affecting overall performance to truly compare engines.... tire selection,gearing,clutch,pipe,fuel,needle setting, vehicle,weight, drivetrain condition,alignment,airfilter,glowplug,engine condition,compression ratio etc... and the list goes on......... But given all things equal the STS 28 is not as powerful or as fast as the other 2 motors mentioned, provided the Nova is the 8 port version..I can see a STS 28 beating the 3 port Nova's pretty easily...
