Proline foams for 4wd holeshots. Cut or not?
Well I just got some Proline 4wd front Holeshots, but they came with full rear foams. Should I cut these to fit or just try to squeeze the whole foam into the tire? They look as wide as rear foams would be. Is this how they all come out of package?

I sculpt the edge of the foam a bit with a scissors to conform to the inside of the tire. for me it seems that i get less off balance and weird squirm later in the tires life.

I use the same width and only chamfer the inner and outer edges.

I like how the Tamiya Dark Impact comes with nice molded foams, looked almost like they would fit well in the holeshots too.
I usually trim the edges for the 4wd fronts, but like the feel of the larger foam in there. Also, Proline foams (the stock ones) don't last very long, I usually switch them out for Losi's.

Does Trinity make tire foams for the 4wd buggy?
How about some Panther pre-molded ones?

Thanks for the advice!

ditch those foams and buy some bomb 1's. pro line foams suck.

+1 I just started racing in the 4wd class and that's what everyone told me run and they were right. Front and rears both bomb 1's and trim the fronts up nice like described above and you'll be set. Since your running holeshots i assume your running on clay or blue groove.
