2007 ACT Titles - July 14 and 15
#151
Thanks to the ACTMCRC for putting on this event. Well run and some great racing. I hope to see a few less classes and more entries next year.
Thanks to all the entrants in the Stock Tourer class for some fast close racing and qualifying.
Thanks to Pinkie for the use of the truer, I'm sure a lot of people would have had some major problems without the use of your truer!
Thanks to Mil for the aircompressor, it made cleaning the carpet off the cars easy and it's always great to work on a nice clean car.
And lastly thanks to Super Toyworld Fyshwick and Team Banzai Motors for their support. Please help support the local guys products that in turn support us and our sport
Cheers,
Brad Fisher.

I have to agree with funk-e. It is 2 weeks to go and the committee could see a problem and jumped on it straight away with a phone call tonight. It is easy to bag out organisors for things, but this has to be rated as up there in the good things to happen, hope everything else is OK.
Just to let you know I will be defending the FIRST ACT Champs run and won by myself in 1979, a race at Woden carpark for 1/8 scale, there were about 8 of us and Derryn Robert Johnson was not one of them, he arrived from Adelaide about 1985 to race contary to his statements he started in 1977. (There was none in Aussie then, not until late 78 did it start at Holdsworthy.) He does have some niiioce old timers but, hope he brings them for a show and tell.
Aussie Bob and proud of it.

Hi Bob,
Great to see you back after all this time. Where have you been hiding? Thanks for casting aspersions with regard to myself, totally unprevoked - but that is consistent for you!
. I wasnt even in the ACT until 1985 or so - so I dont know where your suggestion that I say I was there comes from - perhaps your memory is getting a little muddled? For your records to file: I started racing in 1977 in Wagga Wagga - on tennis courts of all things with a group of people starting racing.I dont think racing was all that organised back then - so perhaps there were a few more clubs around that you did not know about!?
I raced in Sydney in the very early eighties as well - ask Colin Greenenger, Ray Wood, Ric Bartolozzi etc (That was I admit a little later on though)........... Then I moved to Adelaide - then I moved to Canberra. I came to Canberra having raced for several years - have the trophies to prove it.....but then again - I dont have anything to prove.
Other than that - getting back on track - I am not surprised this meeting was a success as the Mark and the crew always run a very professional meeting.
Cheers

Just to answer you, totaly unprovoked, ?????????....a threatening phone call several weeks ago with a DUD Police Event number and pretending you are a Cop, come on you havent changed.
If you read your post all again, you are agreeing with me, Canberra 85 from Adelaide, thats what i said, the Wagga track started in ???1980/1 as a 1/8 scale track, raced there myself at the Aussie champs when Keith Plested from PB came out in ???83, won, or second by David Hyde. What type of car did you run, it appears your memory is better than mine.
I am not having a go at you, just that you said in a post that 30 years you have been "RACING", can i ask you to have somebody else from that time to confirm, as everbody i have spoken to state it started in Holdsworthy in ABOUT 1978 in 1/8 scale only as electric had not started. If i am wrong, please accept my sincerest apoligises. (With a hug)
You said " Ask Rick, Colin, Ray ..but it was a little later on" ??????? That all sounds like "INTERSTATE" to me
Anyway mate, 19 years is a long time for YOU to hold a grudge, should have come to see me last weekend as from what i heard you knew i was there, and we could had a bit of a talk instead of the last time we spoke at Illawarra in November 1988 when somebody, unidentified and unknown to me, smacked you in the mouth.
Peace be with you my boy

Ben,
Absolutely no problem mate - I was only responding to a post made about me. I made no inflamatory remarks - and it will stay that way.
Bob,
You are right mate - 19 years is indeed a long time. I think it would be better to catch up in person as you only seem to be able to contact me through forums or via my website commments page. As you are a private investigator -I would imagine that you could get my phone number pretty easily. I had no idea you were here for the titles, if I did I would have taken you up on that offer a beer you suggested on my comments page of my site. I am not sure where all this is coming from - but feel free to contact me.
All done for me here - this forum is for discussing toy cars - not personal problems.
I wont be responding to this thread again.
