Revised question, does anyone know a good place to sharpen my lathe bit in western Sydney? Any advice would be appreciated.

Have a look in the yellow pages for an engineering place close to you. Usually there is at least one in any Industrial area. Just take your Lathe and bit down and ask for a price. They usually get a kick out of seeing how small the lathe is and what it is used for....Also tell them you will be coming down every so often to have it redone and see what they Quote you. The guy around the corner does it for me for $5.00 and its done on the spot in a few minutes.

OK now that Coxy and I have done the lathe/pink milled alloy car stand swap
I should have asked Coxy this but .....are all bits the same?? Not diamond vs carbide but will a bit from any manufacturer fit an eagle lathe or are there different sizes?
Eagle web site lists
#1388 Sweden diamond bit fits Eagle,Trinity,Twister
#1398 Sweden diamond bit fits Zipp,Cobra,Hudy,Kose
So I am guessing that a Hudy bit wont fit an eagle lathe...
Cheers
