Default MT12 help!

Help! I need to rebuild my MT12. This includes the rod, piston and sleeve. I cannot find replacement parts anywhere. Can other Rossi parts interchange with this engine. I really liked it and would like to "raise it from the dead!" If I cannot find the parts I would like to purchase an equivalent. Any suggestions?

Thanks very much!

Get hold of Rick Brake at RBMODS.net. His phone number is on the site, give him a call and I bet he can help.

O.S. - I would like one, too much money. Unless you know a place that has a good price.

Thanks JGray! I will give him a try!

Whoa Wayne! You are the MAN!

Thanks very much!

Old skool - You are set, too!

Dieter - How much for your new ones?

Everyone - Is it worth puting $110 in the old engine or puting it towards a new engine? I may have an inside for a deal on a Ninja MR12. I don't know the price yet. Who has the best price on those?

I would go for a new engine $110 into a MT12 at 1.15hp. If the motor runs and you know the crank and bearings are good replace the rod and get it pinched and use as a backup motor. See the link for a nice database on engines. For $200 there are a lot of options--new 12tz ect......with much higher hp.

Thanks TC. I didn't see much for pricing on that site but it is definitely comprehensive! Yes, my MT12 ran very strong before it died on me. I would like to rebuild it. I would really like an Mugen X12!

P.S. My inside scoop on the Ninja wasn't as good as I thought. $250. What is the going rate for these engines?

No doubt it is a great engine! I think I might have to get it running again!
