Default Kyosho GXR-15 tuning.

Gday,

Ive got a FW05T with the GXR15 motor.

I'm having some tuning troubles.

The engine starts and runs, idles sweet, and the throttle feels crisp, but when you blip the throttle above 1/2 it dies instantly. No bogging or anything.

Just dies.

Ive tuned nitro motors before but this has me beat.

Maybe someone can spot something I'm missing.

I've tried resetting to base tune, still happens, tried a brand new glow plug and it still does it.

When I pinch the fuel line at idle it revs for about 5-10 secs then dies.

I've had the low needle set so that it revs up slighty then dies, but it still seems to run on for ages.

Any helpw ould be muchly appreciated.

Assuming this is the point where the low end needle moves out of the low speed jet, then I'd say that the top end is way too rich ... screw it in a full turn and see what happens

It ended up being crappy fuel.

My kyosho didnt seem to agree with the coolpower fuel...

put some boost fuel in there and its singing again....

Check the primer pump is'nt blocking the bottom of the tank outlet some times. the standard tanks can be a problem.
