So what seems to be the hot tire setup for Tamiya tires?

Has any tried stretching Type As or B3s over 26mm?

No one has really run Tamiya tires much for this car but many are specualating it will be Type A 24 mm in the front with Type A 26mm in the rear Tamiya makes both a dish and BBS rim that is in both 24 and 2mm.

B3 may work but it has been a bit cold for them recently.

Good luck, I am in the same spot. I am so eager to run my Courage body that I am fabbing a mount from fiberglass. The Courage B parts is what is needed and they have been out of stock @ Tamiya America for well over a month.

So does tamiya make a typ a A 26mm tire or you talking about putting the 24mm tire on a 26mm rim?

I know the tamiya tires are not the best choice but since many of us will be doing TCS this year I thought it might be a good idea to start looking for a good TCS tire setup.

Mark, You are aware the 24mm and 26mm refers to the width of the rim & tire and not the diameter. Therefore, no "stretching" required.

I doubt Fred will allow mixing 24mm and 26mm rims and tires to build a tire... But I could be wrong. FRED?

Mark give Kevin a call he liked the 24mm on the 26mm wheel.

Marty, the F103 comes with 24mm wheels, and 26mm tires.

I bought a F103GT awhile back from mtveten (actually it was his dad's) and I am just now getting to installing all my electronics... I want to run a Courage body but, not sure if I need anything special to mount the body. Is there a special bumper that I need???

It really depends on what kinda tires you're looking at.

Foams will generally give more grip than rubber.

I do run mine in a small technical track with mid grip asphalt using Sorex 36Rs all round, I can say its still got to be a lot gentler on the finger compared to touring.

I am not sure on all the differences between the 103gt chassis kit and the new courage version but I am fairly certain the bumper and body mounts have changes.

Bumpers and body mounts are different
You need the Courage B parts to run the Courage body.
Tamiya has been out of stock for over a month
