Quick question about 1/8 scale buggy engine.

Yep, the RG is the best engine to get in your first 1/8th scale buggy, It has pllenty of power, is easy to tune, and reliable. That gives you more time to learn how to drive, and not spend so much time messing with it trying to get it to run right. Most expensive race engines are finicky to tune (Not just the carb settings, but also the clutch and pipe as well) and require you have more knowledge about engine tuning and engine setup.

Although the RG is a excellent mill and a great choice, I would look into a T21BF if you have some 1/8th scale nitro experience. The price is close to a RG once you add the aftermarket head (RG needs one), and the power is even better on the top end.
