I don't think a motor plate will help, not much room for a bigger gear ie 84 t it will hit the diff drive and the cover won't fit.

Would be good to have a few more spur gears to use.

Regards
Gary

Using the gear adaptor Gary made, I've run down to a 71t spur, probably not needed for mod, but I do think you get better gearing options if you can use something like a 76 and 74 spur as the smallest up to 81.

I've searched quite hard for optional B4 spurs and unfortunately, 78 seems to be the smallest

Hey Bender, hows it going m8?

Been following this thread in a while and it would seem your one of its ringmasters (car) in getting it on par with the other competition cars. Is it doing as good as it should? Is it a good car? will it be as good or better than the top force?

Unfortunately I'm not getting enough track time at the moment to be able to develop it as quickly as I'd like

It certainly shows promise though

IMO, the only real problem the car has is the way the rear arm mounts are actually integrated into the rear gearbox housing - there's just no adjustability there.

And unlike others, I'm not too convinced there's enough room to redesign this area to fit 415-style toe blocks.

Once I get enough track time to get a solid base-line setup, then I'll be looking at trying to add some anti-squat to the rear using the standard mounting system (don't ask me how, I haven't worked that out yet ).

Me wants!

I sent them an email a few days ago inquiring about buying one of those mythical B4 slipper shafts but haven't heard back. Do they usually take a long time to reply?

It is one bloke in and a machine shop, so give him a few days to get round to answering. You could call, number is on his site (www.rwracing.co.uk).

Plus, just got back froma realy rough track and the back diff didn't back off at all and it worked a treat, just need a one-way now.

Oh, Topforce wheels have a clearance issue on the back.

Guys, I've updated my DI site a bit - added all of the new optional parts from Five Stars and Tobee Craft that I could find.

I also uploaded my new interactive pdf setup sheet.

Below is an example of what it looks like finished:

A family friend from japan came to stay at our house for a few days and he brought me an RC magazine...the current issue of one of the more popular ones from over there. Anyway, I was flipping through it (and I can read japanese btw) and saw an article on a new Tamiya 4wd buggy. Not the one you guys are using now....graphite plate chassis, 2 belted, car...I couldn't believe it! I'll take pics of the magazine artile and post them later today.
