Sammy-XP-its amazing how contorted your body becomes in a hard crash!! Luckily in RC cars the worst injuries are with soldering irons and x-acto blades!!!

Again-good luck-I for one would LOVE to see this take off, but us Die-hard race fans dont seem to have much sway in the large picture of US RC racing.

I think that LMP body is based on the Tamiya F1 chassis with laydown/inboard shocks. Still, pretty dern cool.

My biggest point of contempt with touring cars is the bodies, and the blatent lack of race realism. I'd love to see anything more road race oriented (that doesn't look like a cartooned stock car).

Sammy, it is an unusual place but if you can get in, it's Free... Her piece of paper from there seems to be worth it.

I love that Tamiya body, I'm sure I can make it work on one of my pan cars or just buy the whole Tamiya car. There's really no racing for the pan cars and honestly I hate using them in the street, the rocks just make a mess on the chassis. I'll take them to the track and run them or if I find a nice lot I run them.

I'm in the process of setting up my old FT TC3 and my Yok SD for the street. They are both tub chassis's so I know they'll take the abuse, would love to stick to LMP/DP or other Non-sedan body on them that has decent handling.

We'll be at the New England Grand Prix again this year in Lime Rock. We borrowed a camper last year and spent the 5 days but they dropped the Speed WC so it seems ot be only 2 days this year, just staying at a motel.

This is my oldest son last year at Lime Rock You really don't realize how small the cars are till you see them up close.

Sammyxp, great body, i am also an engineer using catia software and always wanted to what you did. the down force and drag can be worked out, also remember unlike touring car bodies gtp bodies must enclose the chassis to get the full effect. when air gets under it it likes to get loose.

I can't wait to get one of your bodies.

BigB is right about the drag and under chassis that is why we made both of our F1 cars with full chassis

I am kind of partial to this style of car. The old IMSA GTP cars. Them Grand Am cars are pretty ugly. It might be bias since I worked for Hotchkis Racing back in the early 90's.

Those McAllister bodies are the first actual GT bodies I've seen for touring cars. Very cool! The Wildcat looks a LOT like the Daytona Prototypes.

That "Wildcat 3" body looks like it might be quite effective at the high speeds my brushless car is running. The long slope of the front end leads me to believe that it would be quite far out in front of the bumper though lending it to considerable damage. With something like that, you'd have to extend the bumper and reinforce the wheel wells and such. It definitely looks like it would have no issues clearing the front shock towers on just about any touring car. I'm still quite anxious to get hold of Sammy's R8 though. I'm pretty sure I'd actually be able to turn without having to brake down to nearly a stop with that body. (the R8) Like I said Sam, when you get some ready for paint, I'll have paypal ready for ya.

The porsche 917 and 935 have always been favourites of mine. I've always heard abotu 917 bodies being available but can't seem to finds them. It's usualyl mentioned as a " I dug my old 917 out of the cupboard..." so I'm guessing they are old.
