Are you from Austrailia? Mondeos are unheard of here in the States. I think that they are the Contour here. What kind of rim selection did you go with? Speaking of far eastern imports...I had a 92 Acura Integra GS with all leather, two door, Arias pistons, shot peened connecting rods, block was bored to 82mm, head had a 4 angle valve job, stage 3 port and polish, Skunk 2 cams and titanium valves, T3/T4 hybrid .63/.84 A/R turbo with stainless turbo manifold and 3 inch exhaust and downpipe, Apexi AFC-II air/fuel controller, Vortech 12:1 fuel management unit, Tial wastegate set at 15 psi, Skunk 2 intake with blow off valve, Walbro 255lph in-tank fuel pump, 440cc RC fuel injectors, external oil catch can setup, relocated battery to trunk, magnafluxed and trued crankshaft, and an external fuel cutoff switch. Problem is is that my tranny didn't want to hold on to all of this power and blew the spider gears out of the back of itself! I had a Clutchmasters carbon fiber six-puck clutch, 8 lb fidanza flywheel, and a couple other drivetrain upgrades. The car itself had 180,000 miles on it so I sold the engine and a couple other things on Ebay and scrapped the rest of it. I got damn near $3000 for the engine alone on ebay. My buddy here in Pennsylvania had a machine shop and a dyno so most of the work was free. I paid a little under $2000 for everything on the car, lol. I have hookups. But now I have an 86 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si (hence the username) with a cold air intake and an exhaust, 2001 Civic red and the interior is immaculate. No plans on adding a turbo because this car is already fast enough for me. Anyway, the Integra came to me with a shade under 150 HP but when I sold the engine I was pushing 359 HP/288 lb./ft. of torque. That's ALOT for a Honda...lol I would EAT Mustangs and Camaros ALL DAY! Corvettes had a problem keeping up with me. The ONLY car that ever came close to getting me was a 2005 GTO with the 6.0 in it. The ONLY truck that ever came close to getting me was a 2003 Ford Lightning SVT pushing around 650 HP. So you can imagine that my baby was a fast son of a bitch!!!! lol

I'm from the UK, where 'Mundaneos' are common rep cars! Also afirm favourite with the 'pipe and slipper' brigade! I went with some BK Racing 17" rims, 5 spokes - in silver. Suits the white paint of the car.
It's a nice car and I love it to death, but it could really do with more HP. And new shocks, brakes, paint, body kit, interior trim, sound system, etc etc.....
I'd really enjoy doing some more stuff to it, but it would be worthless afterwards, unlike a Civic, Evo or Subaru etc.
That said, it too has done 175,000 miles and is still going strong, no rust or anything - engine purrs as if it's just come out of the showroom. Considering the awful weather we have, salty roads etc, it's served us really well - in the 9 years we've owned it, it's never broken down or gone wrong.
Your car sounds completely awesome though - it must be nice whipping cars with engines 3 times as big as yours!!
A friend I know did a really nice job with a Nissan Pulsar - got the engine up to 360bhp, a truely insane figure for a car that small. He's concentrating mainly on Peugeot 205 racing now, and sold the Pulsar
but recently put the money towards a really nice little Lotus Elise, the new shaped one. It's truely awesome to drive. Almost as scary as his dad's old school 911.....
They often argue who's car's best to drive....the usual comments are made including 'at least I don't drive a sports car where the engine is derived from a VW van!! - and even then, they put it in the wrong place!!' It always makes me laugh.
Different story though, when you're pulling G in a 911 and you can feel, hear and smell the engine.....

No doubt man. I've worked at many different US dealerships here including Ford, Buick, Chevy, Lincoln, Mercury, different used car dealerships, and all the new cars seem to impress me in some way...other than the Cavaliers, Focuses, and Contours (Unless it's an SVT). I drove a Ferrari 355 F1 for the first time because my boss bought one at an auto auction in Philly, PA US and man I've got to tell you, it's faster than the Lamborghini Countach I drove. My other boss bought a 2002 Mercedes CLK430, and a SL500 and they were both extremely fast for being a Mercedes. The 300 HP that the 5.0 engine in the SL puts out makes it pretty damn quick for such a huge car. But she was goverened at about 138 MPH
. I even got to drive an old-school Ferrari Testarossa with the V-12 in it and I LOVE the sound of those engines. But, give me a 944 turbo ANY DAY over any American V-8 powered car. I would ji** in my pants to get my hands on a new Subaru WRX STi. 300 HP/300 lb.ft. of torque with AWD on a six speed? Please, no contest. My Integra was FWD and it roasted the tires through first, second, and third until I hit about 80 MPH!!! I ran a quarter mile in just under 13 seconds on a good set of slicks. Another car I might think of getting here shortly, is a (need I say it) Corvette C6. LOVE THOSE CARS! I'm am of American Indian heritage so I'm red and blue through and through but I hate their cars. They have to spunk, no charisma, no artistry. The only car I've seen made by Americans that really made me happy in the pants is the C6 Vette, the 69 Roadrunner 426 Hemi, the 74 GTO Judge, the 70 Hemi Cuda, and the Shelby 427 Cobra. I LOVE American musclecars. But with the price of gas nowadays, the only musclecars I get to see are in cruises. It just came down here where I live to around $3.00 a gallon.
Anyway, here are some quick pics I shot of my Prelude. Just my putsing around car...
