JR 550 close to the same # only no center problems.The hi tech servos are the only servos I have ever had any problems with.My 605 is only 3 weeks old and never did center the same way twice.I was using it in a yokomo mr-4 tc.What should I do with it?Send it back,trash it,with the # it should work fine for a tc.

Yes, the size of the hole is to big so it has slop in it which would affect the centering tremendously. I would use the 5945MG for steering and the 525BB for throttle in the GT. You don't need a digital servo for throttle. The 525BB is the perfect throttle servo for 1/10th cars and trucks. The best part is that it only costs about $25-$30.

Im new to this forum but I have been around RC for quite a while. I use all Hitec Servos and Radio's and always have for the most part. I have had a small problem with the centering as well on the non digital servos but like the man said, for the price, the performance is unbelievable. I ran a Futaba 9402 for a while in the steering of a Supermaxx I had and it was an absolutely awesome servo but I also paid 100 bucks for it. Honestly I cant complain about a 605 for 30 bucks. I run one in throttle and steering on all my Losi trucks I race. I am about to upgrade to the 5925 for steering for the higher transit speed and better center but for someone who does not want to sink a fortune into a decent servo, nothing will match a 605 or 625.

I've got a digital 925 which I bought a little over a year ago. I ran it for about 2 months racing weekly, and while it never centered perfectly it slowly got worse. It eventually got to the point where it could simply not be driven in a touring car. It has since sat in my pitbox.
I am wondering if that would be covered on warranty? The gears have developed so much slop that it is nearly impossible to use.

While I have seen some of the centering issues with the 605, I have a more substatial problem with mine. My 605 seems to oscillate for a second after abrupt steering inputs. Not just a single correction or for a fraction of a second, but a large number of vibrations. Almost like a radio 'glitch' can look like, only this seems to be an issue with the servo. I run an M8 radio with Airtronics recievers, and I have tried replacing the reciever, crystals, and even tried a different transmitter with no changes. Suprisingly, the condition is much less severe when I attempt to use my ancient Airtronics CS2P transmitter. If I replace the 605 with another servo, the problem dissappears and the new servo operates smoothly without any vibrations..

The servo is an HS-605BB with original gears. The oscillations only occur at the end of a quick steering input, whether moving back to center or a quick left/right movement. I do not get the same glitch on the esc when using the same radio system.
