Dont know what to do ... BUGGY or TRUGGY !?
Guys,
Im racing Production MT Class and want to enter to the bigger chassis on offroad ... now ... i dont know which class to buy ... TRUGGY or BUGGY ...
On truggies my choices are the new Mugen one and the proven Jammin CRT and on Buggies i would go for a Jammin or a Hyper 8 Stingray ...
Can you advice me about which path to take ? ...
Thanks a lot ...

well if your goin truggy i would go with the jammin ....its a tough truck and comes with all the goods.......and for buggy i would get the kyosho sp2....i beleive the mugen is fragile and the hyper 8 ...well we don't know any thing about it......just my 2 cents...good luck ..

I just picked up a CRT and love its easy to drive and handling. But when I use to run buggy it was the point and shoot driving style that seemed to keep people there.
I think since you race a MT class that driving something less simular to what you already run might help your over al driving skill.
I just got back into off road and have two classes already picked out.
Truggy and 4wd elec buggy.
I also race Elec TC for the last three years and love it but off road fits my schedule better now so I have to go with the flow.
I hope I helped you.
Either way I think you will be happy, I know I am exstatic with the CRT...tough, easy to drive and lands even the hard stuff with ease...
Buggy I would say nothing beats the durability and quality of Kyosho.
At least when I was running them two years ago...

buggy
1/8 buggy.
a couple of the big hyper racers already have the hyper 8 and it is sweet.

look at the classes run at you local races like everyone else is saying. and if they are about even then make your decision based on this
buggy takes more finess to drive smooth and it a little harder than racing truggy.
truggy are more foregiving and easier to drive consistant.

I was set on getting a truggy until I watched the "Doing it in the dirt" DVD a BUNCH of times. I then relized that I just enjoyed watching the buggies more so I figured I would enjoy driving them more also. One used MBX-5 later and I am on the buggy track. Only time will tell if my logic was correct.

I race buggy and am very seriously looking at the truggies.
I drive the Thunder Tiger buggy, the S3. I love it. The only other buggy I would consider is the Jammin' X1CR.
As for Truggies it would be the TTR ST1 or the Jammin X1CRT. I have seen the other truggies, with the exception of the Kyosho, and have seen all the other buggies run. I have taken a look at most of them pretty in depth as well and these are my choices for the vehicles.
As for which class? I have done the buggies. I love them but the trucks are bigger and go almost as fast. The trucks will probably be a little more expensive to run because of the bigger engines your fuel consumption will probably increase a little. Not too much though. The tire bill will be more expensive upfront as the rims and tires are more expensive. Probaly don't wear quite as fast though. And because they are bigger nd heavier going virtually the same speed you'll probably break a few more parts as well.
All that being said, I still want to go truggy and try it out.

I'm thinking, a truggy. they're a lot of fun to drive cause they're so easy to get around the track, you can worry more about driving skills then your set up and be fine. I would go with the Jammin CRT, i'm thinking of picking up one myself. Good luck hope it helps.
