Well bro...Brian had alot of motors with his name attached to them. (D2, D3, D4, D5, etc.) You need to look on the can to spot engraving that states what wind it is. If it isn't on the can, it may be written on the armature itself.

Good luck.

I know. I figured that out from his original post.

What color is the can? What does the label look like? Got a picture? hehe.

Probably rubbed off through the years. If it's the original dirtinator motor, that would be at least 7 years old or so.
I remember the turns/winds used to be written on the label, but of course that would be rubbed off in a matter of minutes, especially after a cleaning with some motor spray. If there aren't any numbers on the can or label, you'll need to disassemble the motor and look on the arm itself, there might be some numbers printed or written on one of the stacks. If there aren't any numbers there, you're kinda out of luck unless you've got a picture of the arm, where maybe someone could guess the amount of turns..

Ah, the original dirtinator.. that brings back memories!

Can't tell just by looking at the outside of the can, you'll have to open it up and look on the arm to see if theres any writing.

they make different turns/winds for every motor...

just try it on the explorer and see if it starts to get hot... the exp 2 has a limit of 15t recommended, but just make sure the esc doesnt get too hot...
