Since you're in Malaysia... the one packaged by CDC would be covered by warrantee in your country. In the US..it's under Intey's warrantee.

How long would a 14 AMP 12V Power Supply last and how long does it take to charge? Because I am not sure which power supply to get and don't want to spend too much b/c of my budget.

I still don't know what chager to get because I am on a budget and I don't have much so I was thinking about the Indi 16x5v6 but it's DC and that's what really sucks about it, the Indi 16x7 Pro which is AC/DC and maybe the 16x9. Which charger you think I should get and I remember I am on a low budget.

The fact that its a DC only charger isnt necessarily a bad thing. I know that the initial cost to get the PS and charger is a fairly large expenditure at around $280 (I got mine off ebay for $260 new) but you can use the PS for things other than just the charger. It can be used to power a lathe or dyno as well, or another charger for that matter. In the long run they are a great puchase but the upfront costs do suck.

I'm also going to put in a plug for Integy's customer service. The backlighting on my v6 went out after about 4 hours. I'm in Saudi Arabia right now and it would take to long to ship it out there for repair and have it shipped back (at least 6 weeks). By the time I get back stateside the warranty will be up. I asked them if they would send me a new display free of charge (even after telling them that I did open it up to see if something easy could have been causing this) so I could replace it myself. They responded to my email the next day and are sending the display out to me as we speak. I'm quite please with Integy and didnt expect this to happen at all. Great charger and customer service!

Default Just a few comments

I have an Integy 16-2 pro and have not had a single problem with it in over 3 years of use.
I also have a Reedy Quasar Pro and have noticed that the display on a friends Integy 16-5 is EXACTLY the same as my Quasar.

Well, I certainly have to say that its good to hear all of the positive comments about the Indi 16x5V6!! Especially since I ordered mine this morning...

But - I have a few questions on it - does it come with any guidelines on the settings for the charger for different batteries??

Will this charger do the motor run in like the pulsar??

out for now!

There's a few guidelines...but visit the SMC site for battery maintanance and charging.

No the charger will not do motor run like the Pulsar.

As far as features go the 16x7 Pro has the addtional feature of turning off trickle charge.

16x9 Runs off a 12A internal PS @ 110 or 220 the 16x7 Pro runs off a 6.5A internal PS @ 110V only. This means dick if you live here in the us since we run 110V anyway. The max charge on the 16x7 is .5A less but you can do single cell charges as well. Plus the 16x7 is smaller and fits in the bag better (with a cool detachable plug unlike the 16x9)

All in all I would say the 16x7 Pro is the better of the two. I think the new 16x9v6 is gonna rock.. but not as much as the new T35 GFX... that thing just looks insane.

Here is a pic of the two. (also for sale for $140 shipped in the for sale forums)

You can turn trickle off on the 16x9. for instance instead of setting the capicity to 3000 set it under 100mah. it will still charge the cells to 3000 and trickle mode will not go on.

by the way, there is a pair of power leads behind the 16x9 so you can actually power another charger such as 16x5 which is a DC only (ah hah!)

for cheaper price on the 16x7pro, try ebay under the seller rc-auction. I bought it from him for $149.99 plus shipping (price may varies for international orders) and he does have lower pricing for the 16x5v6 (with power supply or without) and 16x9 pro.

I had his pricelist long time ago but I accidentally delete it

$149 + shipping isn't cheaper than the $140 Shipped price I just posted...
