Default Brushless and Digtal servos issues

Hey All- I have had a SS+5800 in my B4 with a Digtal Hitec servo and they apear to work togeather real well. The steering will lock up half way in the 5 min race. I have swaped out the servo with a standard servo and it works normally.

If the servo dosnt lock up it will hesitate for 2 too 3 seconds after turning right or left thus not returning to center after a corner.

This has also happened with my new GTB. Now I have tried a Rx battery pack and the steering is slow really slow.

Now the servo works fine in a brushed motor. i have never had a issue witth it that way. Although the servo does sound noisy even when its centered.

Is there a issue with servo? Thank you Semore

I have not seen that with the GTB.

What Rx are you using?

How many cells was in the Rx pack?
Did it lock up with the Rx pack?

It sounds like a BEC issue....(BEC current is comming from the ESC)

The digital servo is drawing more power than an analog.

But, if you lost TH control, the issue is from the Rx out.
My first guess would be the Spektrum Rx going into Failsafe when the voltage dropped down.

The servo can also go into failsafe with low power.

Have you tried the CAP fix that Spektrum is putting out?

Well Novak hhas the ESC ckecking all the componets, I can try the power cap for the Rx. I hope that will fix it. I like having the digtal servo.

I had a issue with the hsc-5998tg digital servo when i put in the car with a servo saver the servo wouldn't come back to zero. Similar to your problem. I use a novak gt7 in my sedan which should put out enough juice for the servos needs. I ended up bypassing the servo saver all together and used a titanium high tech arm and now it responds well. My only concern is how long the servo will last.
