Tamiya mini cooper

the fastest Mini's at our track the guys have done this to their motors:
take another motor and connect the shaft to the mabuchi shaft using fuel tubing and zipties. Essentially making the mabuchi a slave motor.
Make a paste using Mother's car polish and motor spray, just thinner consistency than toothpaste. run the master motor using about 3volts and get the slave motor spinning. Jam oodles of your paste into the mabuchi where the brushes make contact. Keep it up for 15 minutes. Clean out the mabuchi thoroughly with fresh blasts of motor spray.
Guys say the mabuchi motors sold right now have such hard brushes that the water technique is useless.

I didn't have any mothers so I tried rubbing compund and made a paste with motor spray.
The car is way faster. I found some mother's billet polish at the auto store and am going to do it again with that to see if it get's even faster.
I'm assuming any polish that uses some kind of grit will work, but the Mini Guru I know did say to use mothers.

I have nice cheats for TCS. One of the rule says to keep the tamiya's motor plugs between motor and ESC. Well, quitely solder the joints and slide back the silicone tube. (Use shock silicone oil to slide the tube easier). ...... hehehe, no power loss.
To change motor you need to solder/unsolder like usual.
