When using peak charge mode, you sometimes need to set the long lockout (locks charger from delta peak cutoffs, but not from temperature or capaicty cutoffs). A battery can initially be unstable if has been trayed or dead-shorted, or if it has been stored for a little while.

To set the long lockout time, access the main menu by holding down "<". I set mine at 15-20min. By that time, even a dead-shorted battery will have stabilized to the incoming current. To activate the lockout, hold down "<" after starting the charge until you see the "key" symbol.

The CTX charge is already locked against peak detect for the first two phases, so setting long lockout is never neccessary.

Any tips would greatly be appreciated

We keep an updated list of CTX profiles here. When you click on some of them, they have different settings for 19t/Stock and Modified racing.

I too am after setting for IB3600.

The nexus site has GP3300 and IB3800.

Cheers

Paladin,
We were never able to test profiles (nor did we receive any) for the IB3600 because the 3800's were released so quickly after the 3600 became popular.

Because they have a similar chemical makeup, I can only assume that a proportioned 3800 profile would work well. Try using one of the 3800 profiles, but with these mAH limits:
2850-2880-5000

The Orion charger and Cell Master are very different (and made by different manufacturers).

Some unique features to Cell Master:
-Super Linear Current
-CTX step-charging (combination of Super Linear Current and step-charging)
-16 Bit AD delta peak detection (allows for very fine adjustments to delta peak)
-Li-Po charge
-output pin for charging accessories (warming tray, fans)

Unique features to Orion Advantage:
-Motor Run feature (13A max)
-standard step-charging
-Battery Tray and internal clock
-Some sort of lap counting system

Other than these differences, some say that it is difficult to charge trayed and dead-shorted packs with the Advantage becuase it has minimums for starting voltage.

There are more differences, but not all are worth mentioning in order to get the big picture accross.

Woops...meant to sign in as Nexus Racing...oh well .

I have owned and used both Cellmaster and Orion Advantage charger.

And i definitely prefer the Cellmaster as i find it's much easier to use. Oh and it looks much better than the orion "plastic" charger too.
So i sold my orion and bought another cellmaster

Default cable

i just got my cell master and its looks very nice ,
one question WHY are the cables for going to the power source so short !
i use a 12v battery for power and its never going to reach !
is there a better / best way to extend them , or i am i just better cutting
them and extending them !

thanks.

It's meant to be used with a 12v power supply like the one Much-More sells or any other 12v power supply on the market with at least 10amps. Short wires and the really compact size of the Much-More power supply really helps to keep your pit area nice and tidy especially at large races when pit-spaces are at a minimal. You can cut your wires or better yet, make an extenstion cable so if you ever get a compact power supply, your original length cables will be intact.
