you may want to check your drive pulley assembly, the carbon spur gear holder is on the wrong side (I think?)

Yea I have mine mounted on the opposite side to that pic too. I spent about 10 minutes looking at the instruction manual and the ammendment sheet trying to figure out where everything was supposed to go...

I double checked the instructions for the carbon plate and it is mounted exactly the way the assembly manual says.

the manual was incorrect, there is a correction on the hpi website

I think that adendem on the HPI japan site if for the locked pulley being on the wrong side... Photo 'A' shows the locked pulley on the motor side.. it should be as shown on photo 'B' on the battery side. the CF plate looks correct.

photo A also shows the carbon plate on the right hand side of the car, it should be on the left hand side (motor) as shown in photo B. the manual shows it on the right hand side...
