I look at it like this. Alot of folks have 1/12th cars, however they refuse to run them due to the double entry fee. If the entry fee for any other class after your first is 1/2 then the shop is still making money it wouldn't of made in the first place!
Why??? Because folks would then be racing more than they would have been if the cost comes down to a reasonable level to run 1/12th.

I always run rebound, @ 3/4ths travel. We do have new shock caps coming out with bladders, that will offer adjustable rebound. I have them but have not tried them yet. that is the next step for me.

Ever heard the expression Spoil a ship for a halfpenny worth of tar
That's what AE have just done with the TC4 FT. Such a brilliant car, with every conceivable extra, even a choice of diffs, then skimp on a bit of carbon for a battery strap.
Call us amateurs. Call us not professionals. Call us what you like. We prefer to secure our cells with a proper battery strap.
What a pity. Is this the Thunder Tigers influence, or what !

20,000 FT TC4s sold = $7,000,000
If only half of the people buy a battery strap at $15.00 each then...
10,000 "Factory Team" batt-straps = $150,000 in extra sales.
A nice kicker to the bottom line...

I understand that a battery strap effects the tweak of the car because in order to get the strap tight it puts alot of pressure on the battery side causing the chassis/brace to flex/Bow.

Lets see here -- the kit is called a FACTORY TEAM TC4-- All of us factory drivers have been taping our batteries in for the past few years.
I have seen alot more batteries come out when using a strap rather than tape. Plus with tape they don't move around affecting tweek.
