Default DCX RX and Micro 555 compatibility with Futaba 3PJ PCM Tx

I'm looking for a replacement Rx for my 3PJ and I was looking at the Hitec DCX RX or Micro 555. Are there any known compatibility issues with my Futaba 3PJ PCM Tx? I'm using Sanwa ERG-VB servos (with blue connectors) which worked OK with my old Futaba Rx. My throttle servo is a Tower Hobbies S3K (I guess also Futaba, rebadged).

ok, thanks

You would need to run in FM mode.

The DCX is dual conversion.

Either way you should run the Hitec X'tal in the Rx...

I would also look at the HFS03MM 3 Channel FM....

They will work fine with your current setup.

Those Rx's won't work with a PCM transmitter. The DCX is a dual Conversion FM Rx, and would require you to get the FM Tx module for your radio and the DCX Xtals. THe 555 is an Aircraft Rx and wouldn't work for you either I'm afraid. Sorry we couldn't help a bit more. If you have any other ?? fell free to ask tho. TTYL.

The 3PJ Tx is selectable between PPM/PCM, so I tought FM should work. I'm not sure the DCX dual conversion is an issue, but I'll need to use Hitec crystals? Dual conversion Rx crystals in the DCX but matched to my Futaba Tx crystal channel? Will that work? The Micro 555 5ch won't work with my 3ch FM Tx? Another thing, if I use Hitec DCX with dual conv. Hitec crystals, can I use Futaba crystals in my Tx provided its the same channel? Now I'm confused!

help.

Yes, it can be confusing....

You should be able to select FM mode on your radio...

You will use your orginal Tx X'tal along with the Hitec Dual Conversion X'tal in the Rx.

Ya know, I gotta stop doing this stuff while on meds, LOL. I forgot that the 3PJ can select either FM or PCM. My bad.
