Actiualy from what I see only the case, backplate are useble-the rest will go to the trashcan. All steel parts yuo better dump it and don't even think to polish them-all parts inititaly ground and now rusty, you can make them shiny, but all tolerances will be lost.
To get new cranck, new P/S set, new bearings-it will be cheaper then new engine, but I am not sure if it is worse it.
Edward
BTW, there is some acid which will clean all rust out, don't remmeber the name of it, but will go to the lab now and later will give you the name.

It is Oxalic Acid. Please if you use it, use with respect-it is acide and use protective equipment. It will clean out all rust from your parts.

keep it off your skin. it is easily absorbed into your bloodstream and will rock up in your kidneys. bad stuff!

How about Autosol polish ?? Is it dangerous .... don't want that craps go inside my bloodstream either. My lungs are already contaminated with nitro gas.

Hi Corey.
This is why I sad it is acide and should be treated with respect-all neccessary safety precations need to be taken-respirator, latex gloves, glases etc.
If you search over the Internet, you will find some info:http://alsnetbiz.com/homeimprovement/oxalic_acid.html
We use it a lot in our company to clean some rusty stuff-textile is all about water and temperature.

I'm planning on coming the 16th and bringing some more racers along! I'm sticking with 1/8th and letting my buddy run my TC.
