Hi Guys,

I bought a second hand TC3, and it has steel outdrives and looking inside the diff cases the bevel pinions are metal as well. I know the outdrives are not the AE metals because they have a natural metal finish.

For replacement purposes, does anyone have any idea who might have manufactured these parts? I tried the original owner and he can't remember.

Maybe Hammand Ghuman? Some guy is always selling them on eBay. Do a search for TC3 and go down the list. You're bound to see one there. If you don't see it, check in a day or two. It means he just completed the auction for one. He's been selling them one set at a time for months now.

Does the FT blue screw set make the car weigh less?? also, are there any chrome wheels out for the car at all?? the reasone behind this, i have a stock racer kit ive been running, and want to dress it up a bit.

The FT blue screw set weigh considerably less as far as crome wheels go
I've seen chrome rims by hpi.

Search through this TC3 Forum and someone posted how much more weight loss your car will have when switching to the Factory Team screws.

Do you want real aluminum wheels or do you want plastic wheels that are painted chrome? Go through the for sale section and someone is selling real polished aluminum wheels but they got for around $100. Go on eBay and look up 24mm or 26mm and you'll find different wheels show up.

The drive bearing cap/chassis is stripped out on my brother's car. We just noticed it yesterday. When the car goes reverse, there's some play and you can see the driveshaft jump up a bit and push up the drive bearing cap. He suggested using the glue we use for the tires but that's kind of retarded. We'll probably have a hell of a time trying to get the drive cap off if we want to do any maintenance work. Isn't there some type of adhesive you guys use to keep screws in place when the hole it goes into has already been stripped out? Thanks...

Heres a pic of my tc3. Its stock, but i would like to get a driveshaft and wheels for it. i found a set.....but they are"drift" wheels....are those some special type of wheel

Aries326--you can go up a thread size with the same length if u choose, or i prefer to just replace the plastic part as that saves from hassle in the future

"drift" refers to a "sport" that people do with their cars when run with wheels with very little traction so they can do donuts or travel around curves going sideways - hence the name "drift" Those rims you're showing are called "drift" wheels cause they are in the same style of rims that that import tuner cars use. Those rims will fit your car but they're not used usually by touring car racers. They will fit regular 26mm rubber wheels. If you want to drift your TC3, you can buy a set of pre-cut ABS wheels to fit those rims.

Will TC4 parts make the TC3 handle better? Assuming the driver isn't an idiot?

The whole new steering assembly in the TC4 would be a nice change in the TC3 if there is a way to convert it.
