Default M17s issues

I’ve been thinking about upgrading to the M17s (from M17) but recently I have seen a couple people having issues with the radio. I want to see how your experience has been (everyone who has been using)
Thanks

Can you share what issues you've seen/heard? I'm running a noble nb4+ but recently used an m17 that felt a little better in my hands.

I upgraded to the M17S from my ~5 year old M17 3-4 weeks ago. Conversion was easy, subtrims and EPAs all matched (I.e. I copied models over and didn’t have to re-trim anything), the feel in your hand is the same, so it didn’t take any time to “get used to it”. I’m not a “super user”, but very happy so far, and no issues to report on 2 different 12th scale & 1 sedan.

My only minor beef is that it came with a limited Japanese manual, you’ll need to download the full English version

For those who have upgraded did you notice any improvements in drivability with the new processor. Or does it seem more marketing hype and the biggest difference to the radio being FH5 only and not backwards compatible?

M17 is already pretty fast, so I didn’t notice any drivability improvement, but I also don’t have super speed electronics (…beyond FH5 receivers).

I am wondering the same thing my M17 is getting old and was considering the M17s. But I am wondering if it is worth having to buy some new receivers. As I understand you need at least FH5 receivers for the M17s unless I am wrong. That means I will need to buy like 4 receivers. Any thoughts?
