Anyone have a decent condition xx-4? I'm looking to build up an X-5 off the bare x-5 chassis I got a while ago.
So any complete xx-4s or x5s for a decent price lmk. This will be a runner I race at a few vintage races so I dont need anything perfect, just nice.

Hi, I just signed up for the vintage race in Las Vegas (travelling from Norway) and have browsed the web for spare parts/upgrades for my XX4. Not ran it since 1999. Is there one shop/private who sells belts, front+rear arms and stuff I most likely will break during the race?
Or maybe someone have an used, decent car for sale? If so, pm with pictures. I have an address in Delaware if you are not willing to ship to Norway. Thanks

Unless 3D vintage running spares, Dragon Punch, Sabula or any of these vintages supporting aftermarket parts manufacturer decides to do it I don`t see a re-release of those chassis.
The Losi vintage chassis are quite a challenge because 3D printing (even in MJF) isn`t ideal and weaker. But making them in machined aluminium is not cost efficient either, they have too many complex curves and geometry.
They did a carbon conversion for the XX 2wd , but honestly its just not that same as an original chassis.
So unless someone is willing to pony up 15'000$-30'000$ for a custom mold with the proper CAD and design work behind it, they're not coming back.
Losi might still have the molds because these were made in the USA back then, but who knows, they might've been destroyed. Lots of rumors around that.

Destroying molds is a funny thing because there is really no reason to do it. Also, the XX4 was discontinued once and then re-released in like 2004 because the consensus was the XXX4 wasn't all that great.

If you decide you don't like having them glued on, or mess up the glue job, you can soak the chassis in Acetone to dissolve the glue.

I highly doubt it, Losi has been essentially dead silent regarding 1/10th scale re-release, which I think is a shame.

I've enquired with my local distributer and he said losi will NEVER do the rere market for whatever reasons. He asked many times and the reply to him is losi and tlr are a hobby and race brand and they want to innovate new products, not rehash old ones. It is an inflexible company mission... so that is that.
