ESC looks to be ZTW to me. Plenty of brands are using them right now, so expect all boats to lift in the rising tide.

motor will no doubt be from one of the big three suppliers out there.
Oscar is not on his own. He is just the face. Another large RC company owns Cayote.

I read that it filed for bankruptcy in 2019 and I haven't heard anything since. Website seems operational but I haven't seen any new products from them or R1 in a long time.

Graupner went bakrupt in 2012 and 2013 SJ Inc. bought Graupner's assets and changed the name from SJ Inc. to Graupner in 2014. I also remember their vehicle line used to be called SJ Propo. Back in 2007 when I was searching for companies to make my ESCs, SJ was one of them, but they didn't want to make it the way I wanted. The good old days of early sensored vehicle only (Aveox still rocks) ESCs lol.

2019 was a separate bankruptcy.

13.5 is already ROAR approved, 17.5 in October when the new rules go into effect is my understanding.

I was listening to a podcast where DP was being interviewed, and they asked about his Cayote electronics, “an AMain Product”. I’m curious why they’re not for sale at amain if that’s the case.

AMain is in the process of getting Cayote product in-house. I assume they are getting a sea container worth. I'd be shocked if in 1 month from now we don't see it being more readily available.

See the quote above from Hanulec as hes exactly right. The only issue with amain is the are very slow to restock and usually only stock in small quantities.

Why no more Cayote on Sidepiece? I ran the shorties and thought they did well. Was thinking of testing another size soon.
